The flowers of a federally endangered Alabama canebrake pitcher-plant (Sarracenia rubra ssp. alabamensis) droop down at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, where they are propagated. Many of the bog plants of the SE United States are in trouble now because of bog draining for timber plantations.
