Federally endangered and critically endangered (IUCN) Pahrump poolfish (Empetrichthys latos) at the Desert National Wildlife Refuge Visitor’s Center. This fish is extinct in its historic range. If it weren’t for concerned biologist it would be extinct today as the original spring was pumped dry.
