An endangered Costa Rican variable harlequin toad (Atelopus varius) at the El Valle Amphibian Conservation Center (EVACC). This species is highly endangered and is found very little in the wild. The female is yellow and much larger than the male.
A Cope’s brown treefrog (Ecnomiohyla miliaria) at El Valle Amphibian Conservation Center. This is one of the rarest amphibians left on Earth with only two left in captivity and none seen or heard in the wild since 2009.
