Marsh mongoose (Atilax paludinosus) named Nino at
Park Assango, ONG Animal’s World in Libreville, Gabon.
The Marsh mongoose occurs in humid forests, swamps, mangroves and marshes. It is well adapted to living in wet areas with its webbed feet. This one-year-old male was brought to the refuge as a tiny furry baby and now lives freely around the owner’s place and garden.
