Studio portrait of a red knot (Calidris canutus). The species is a candidate for listing under the Endangered Species Act due to a rapid decline in population. It is on one food during it’s northward migration: horseshoe crab eggs. Overfishing of the crabs has led a dramatic the decline of both knots and crabs.

Framing and matting includes a satin finish black wooden frame, a 3” white acid-free matte, and plexiglass. The frames are custom made and can take 5 business days to be prepared.
Our canvas gallery wraps are professionally printed and stretched over a durable frame. This can take 5 business days to be prepared. They are finished with an open-style back with a hanger, and arrive ready to display.
Sizes shown are approximate. The sizes are in inches and denote the size of the image itself. Each image is printed with a white border, so the paper size is larger than the image size. If you need a print sized exactly, please let us know when you place your order. Custom sizes are also available. Custom orders take longer to fulfill than standard orders.
Signed prints may take longer if Joel is traveling, which is often, as he continues to add species to the Photo Ark.
All prints are created at the time of purchase. Because of this, we do not accept returns or exchanges for prints. The only exception is if the print is not up to our pristine standards. Any flaws must be brought to our attention within 5 business days.
Any applicable international customs fees are not included in shipping and handling. The recipient may be required to pay custom fees at the time of delivery if items are shipped outside of the US.
