A male great horned owl (Bubo virginianus lagophonus) named Tskili at the Chintimini Wildlife Center in Corvallis, Oregon.

This clip was taken during the massive heat wave that hit the Pacific Northwest during the summer of 2021. Great care, including the use of fans, was taken to ensure that each bird would remain cool during the process. This owl is further cooling itself by breathing heavily.
